Dr. Zlatko Dimitroff
Dr. Dimitroff is a high ranking diplomat of Bulgaria who is currently Deputy Head of Mission at Bulgarian Embassy in The Hague, the Netherlands. He is also the Deputy Permanent Representative to the OPCW.
In his distinguished career, Dr. Dimitroff has served as Ambassador to the United Nations and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Permanent Mission of Bulgaria to the UN. He has also held the post of UN Director in charge of Bulgarian membership in the UNSC for the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A Doctor of Law and Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, H.E. Mr. Dimitroff has extensive experience in international law, its interpretation and implementation. In addition to the aforementioned posts, he has served as Director of Political Affairs for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe at the Organization’s largest ever field Mission in Kosovo and subsequently as Senior Legal Officer to the UN Special Envoy for the future status of Kosovo (UNOSEK). Among other prominent positions, Dr. Dimitroff served as Chief Negotiator on border issues in the bilateral negotiations with Romania and Turkey.
