Dr. Nicolle Macho
Dr. Macho after having started her studies at the University of Mannheim in the department of political science and English literature continued her education in the United States. She received a B.A. in Political Science and M.A. in Public Policy from the University of New York at Stony Brook, a PhD. in International Relations from the University of South Carolina at Columbia. Her dissertation is titled: Past experiences and implications of institutional reform on the European Communities. She taught in the department of political science at the University of Blacksburg, Virginia.
After 12 years living, studying and working in the United States Dr. Macho returned to Germany. Since that time she added a MBA in International Business degree (magna summa cum laude) from Schiller International University, Strasbourg to her credentials. Professionally after returning to Germany Dr. Macho has been working for ZEUS (Zentrum für Europäische Umfrageanalysen und Studien) as a Consultant and as an instructor for various American and German Universities in Germany (Maryland University; City University of Bellevue, Washington State; Apollo International; DHBW – Cooperative University of Mannheim, HdWM – University of applied management studies. Since 1993 Dr. Macho also taught at Schiller International University; initially only in the Department of International Relations, later on also in the Department of Business and Economics. Dr. Macho has been the chair for the Graduate Business Programs since 2008.
Dr. Macho’s areas of interest and research include international and regional organizations, in particular the European Union and the World Trade Organization. Additionally she is interested in the economic development of developing countries and all issues relating to women’s rights both economic and political.
